Frequently asked questions
Which AIs are tested?
ChatGPT, Perplexity and Bing's Copilot search. Always without a signed-in account or history, to see exactly what a customer who does not know you yet would see.
Don't AI answers change from one time to the next?
They do, which is why each question is asked twice. The check is a dated snapshot, not a final ranking. What matters is the trend: are you named regularly, sometimes, or never.
Is this the same as ranking on Google?
Not quite. AIs that search the web read the same pages as Google, but they mostly recommend businesses that are talked about elsewhere: trade directories, comparison sites, reviews, articles. A site that ranks well on Google can be absent from AI answers.
What if I am not named anywhere?
It is common, especially when a business has no up-to-date listing on the directories the AIs read for its trade. The check tells you which ones, and where to start.
What do you do with my details?
They are used to run your check, send it to you and follow up once about it. No newsletter, no resale, no sharing with third parties. Only the business name, trade and town are typed into the AIs, never your name or email. You can ask for your data to be deleted at any time.
